Time as an Important Aspect of Life
The difference one makes in his life may depend partly on genes, partly on what is at his or her disposal and partly the time he or she dedicates to work or even study. With time, Greg Lindberg recommends that one can turn around things. Assuming you opted to dedicate eight hours of work to a project per day, and you have minimal resources at your disposal, and another person dedicates only one hour to a similar project. Greg Lindberg will advise that even where one has more capital in the initial stages and is not willing to invest more time in a project, there are chances that individuals investing more time will catch up with him or her.
Greg Lindberg will tell you that some students tend to grasp concepts at a higher rate when compared to others. In a case where the student who spend thirty minutes to grasp a concept, give up and spends only equal amounts of time the five minutes student spends, he or she may never catch up. However, one would persistently catch up, and where the difference is not as big, he or she can even do more than the gifted students. Greg Lindberg will tell you to draw a time intelligence curves of two people. But time can make all the difference where the less intelligent opts to dedicate his or her time to studying more. With more time on books, the less gifted student would catch up with the gifted student. That means that a student with better genes would score very high marks the moment he or she dedicated his or her time to studies.
Looking at the genes and resources factor, Greg Lindberg would take you to another new level of exploration. It is unfortunate that some of these people with more resources at the beginning only tend to compare themselves with people around them and hence do not achieve as much as they should if they spent more time working or reading. Most of such people only put effort to keep them on top as opposed to exploring further to a wider scope. In a situation where one has resources and dedicates his or her time to them, he or she would stand an opportunity of creating a gap other people would have a hard time catching up. Greg Lindberg will tell you that some people tend to get to good schools which when combined with a good opportunity makes them some of the world innovators and business entrepreneurs. Greg Lindberg would make it sound even more dramatic by saying that time makes all the difference over time. One would be surprised how that extra work he or she do every day can make all the difference in the long run.
